Refund Policy

Effective: 2026-08-17

We want you to be happy with your order. If something arrives wrong, damaged, or not as described, we'll make it right. Here's how it works.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, items must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and unaltered. Items that have been printed, embroidered, dyed, washed, or otherwise modified are not returnable. Once a blank has been through your process, it's yours.
  • In original packaging with all tags attached where applicable.
  • Reported within 30 days of the delivery date. That matches the warehouses' intake window — outside 30 days we can't accept the return.
  • Not a ships-direct-from-brand item. A small set of styles ship directly from the brand's own warehouse (these are labeled on the product page before you order) and can't be returned — the brand doesn't accept them back. Defects and shipping errors are still covered.
  • Not discontinued. Once a style has been discontinued, it can't be accepted back, so it isn't returnable. Defects and shipping errors are still covered — email us and we'll make it right.

Special-order items, custom configurations, and clearance items may be marked final-sale at the time of purchase; final-sale items are not refundable except in cases of defect or shipping error.

How refunds are paid

We refund to the card or account you paid with — that's the default, and you don't have to ask for it. Once your return is approved and the items reach our partner warehouse, we issue the refund as soon as the return clears at the warehouse. In practice that's usually about two to three weeks from the day you ship it back.

Want the money sooner? Ask for store credit instead and we'll issue it as soon as we receive and inspect the return — no waiting on the return to clear upstream. Store credit never expires and applies automatically at checkout. You can see your balance and full history anytime under Account → Store Credit. That's the whole trade: credit now, or cash in about two to three weeks. Say so when you request the return, or email support@standardblanks.com. If you don't ask, you get cash — we never move you to credit without you choosing it.

If what we shipped was wrong, defective, or damaged in transit, none of that waiting applies. Tell us and we'll refund or replace it right away.

Decorated items

Standard practice in print is to test-print one piece before running a full batch — that's the catch for fabric defects that would show up mid-run.

Once a blank has been printed, embroidered, dyed, washed, or otherwise altered, it's no longer returnable to us. That includes decoration failures (ink bleed, thread puckering, dye migration), shrinkage in the wash, and any post-process defect that surfaces after the piece has left its original state.

If something went wrong on a decorated piece, email support@standardblanks.com with photos and your order number. We'll look at what happened and see if there's something we can do — but the published policy is that decorated items aren't refundable.

Process

To start a return:

  1. Sign in and visit your order history, then choose the order and click "Request a return".
  2. Tell us what's wrong — wrong item, defective, sizing issue, changed mind, or other.
  3. We'll review within 1–2 business days and email you next steps, including a return shipping label if applicable.
  4. Pack the items securely in their original packaging and drop off with the indicated carrier.

If you can't find the order in your account, email support@standardblanks.com with photos and your order number.

Timeline

Your return is received and inspected within a couple of business days of reaching our partner warehouse. If you chose store credit, that's when it lands — ready to use the moment the confirmation email goes out.

A refund to your original card waits for the return to clear at the warehouse, which usually puts the whole trip at about two to three weeks from the day you ship it back. Your bank or card issuer then takes another 5–10 business days to post it. We send a confirmation email either way so you can match it against your records.

Wrong, defective, or damaged-in-transit items skip that wait entirely — we don't hold your money while we sort out our own mistake.

Shipping on returns

Two separate things, so here's both plainly.

Original shipping — what you paid to get the order to you — is not refunded when items come back. That freight has already been spent, and the warehouse that shipped it deducts it from the credit it issues us on the return, so refunding it would mean paying for the same trip twice. Refunds are calculated on the value of the items you send back.

Return shipping — getting the items back to the warehouse — is ours to cover on defective items, wrong items, or our error. On changed-mind or sizing returns it's the customer's responsibility and is deducted from the refund.

When the mistake is ours, we refund the original shipping too. You shouldn't be out of pocket for freight on an order that arrived wrong.

Returns valued at $1,000 or more carry a restocking fee — the greater of 20% or $25 — and the customer pays return freight both ways, per our fulfillment partner's terms for larger returns. We'll spell out the exact amounts before anything ships back.

Partial Refunds

We may issue partial refunds when only part of an order is affected, or when items are returned in a condition that does not qualify for a full refund. A partial refund goes back the same way a full one does — to the card or account you paid with by default, or as store credit if you asked for that instead. We'll explain the breakdown in the refund-confirmation email.

Cancellations

Orders can typically be cancelled before they enter fulfillment. Once an order has been picked or shipped by our fulfillment partner, it must be processed as a return per the steps above.
