Shop with AI
Shop Standard Blanks with your AI assistant
Standard Blanks sells blank apparel (tees, hoodies, polos, hats, bags and more) to decorators, print shops, teams and businesses, shipped from warehouses across the US. Our MCP server lets an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude search the catalog, read product details, check availability, price a set of items and build a cart you open on standardblanks.com.
Nothing here takes payment, places an order or reads anyone's account. The assistant hands you a cart link; you review the cart on standardblanks.com and check out there, where prices, shipping and sales tax are confirmed.
Connection details

Add it to your assistant
Claude
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner adds it under Organization settings, and members then connect it from their own connector list.
- Name it Standard Blanks, paste the server URL and continue. There is nothing to sign in to.
- In a chat, turn the Standard Blanks connector on from the tools menu and ask.
ChatGPT
- Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings. It is available on paid plans, and a workspace admin can switch it off for a workspace.
- Create a new app (connector) with the server URL and choose No authentication.
- In a conversation, pick Standard Blanks from the developer mode tools.
Both apps move these menus from time to time. If a step doesn't match what you see, their help pages have the current path.
Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect to the server URL with no credentials. A client that only runs local (stdio) servers can reach it through a bridge such as mcp-remote: npx mcp-remote https://standardblanks.com/mcp/shop.
What to ask
- "Find a heavyweight black hoodie and show me the colors it comes in."
- "Price 48 of those in mixed sizes, shipped to 98101."
- "Is the white one in stock in XL?"
- "Put 24 black and 24 navy in a cart for me."
Tools
search_catalog
Search by keywords and filters. Inputs (all optional): query, category (slug), brand (exact name), color (color family: black, white, grey, blue, …), size (xs … 6xl, tall), max_price (US dollars per unit), in_stock, limit (1–20, default 10). Returns products with name, brand, slug, category, fromPriceCents (the lowest single-unit price across the style's colors and sizes), availability, image and product page URL. Read-only.
get_product
One product by slug or by any variant sku. Returns description, colors (with image and availability), sizes, size chart (garment measurements), fabric (weight, composition, knit, fit), decoration suitability (0–3 per method: screen print, DTG, embroidery, sublimation, heat-transfer vinyl, discharge, DTF) and whether it can be sold as a blank. Pass color to also get that color's sizes, each with its SKU and availability. Read-only.
get_inventory
Availability of one variant, by sku or by slug + color + size: in_stock, low (12 or fewer available), out_of_stock or unknown. Availability is confirmed again at checkout. Read-only.
quote
Prices for items ([{sku, qty}], 1–40 SKUs) and an optional ship_to_zip. Returns each line's unit price and total, the merchandise subtotal, shipping and the total before tax. Each style's unit price is set by that style's total units in the order. Without a ZIP, shipping assumes a contiguous-US address. Sales tax is calculated at checkout. Read-only.
build_cart
Creates a cart of items ([{sku, qty}]) with an optional note for our support team, and returns claimUrl. Opening the link adds the items to your cart on standardblanks.com for review; you check out there. The link works for 7 days. It creates a cart link and changes nothing else.
All prices are in US cents and are the prices the Standard Blanks cart charges.
Limits
- Requests: 60 a minute per IP address, and 5 cart links a minute per IP address.
- Results: up to 20 products per search.
- Carts: up to 40 SKUs, 10,000 units per SKU and $5,000 of merchandise. For a larger order, email us.
- Request size: 64 KiB.
A request past a limit gets HTTP 429 with a JSON-RPC error and Retry-After: 60. A tool that can't answer (an unknown SKU, a color the product doesn't come in) returns an error result with a code and a message saying what to do next.
Privacy
The server never asks for or returns a name, email address, street address, order or account. What your assistant sends is what it needs to answer: search words, SKUs, quantities and, for shipping, a ZIP code.
For each request we record which tool was called, whether it worked, how long it took and which assistant made the call (the name the assistant's app gives itself, such as ChatGPT or Claude). We do not record your IP address or the cart link with it. IP addresses are used to apply the rate limits above. A cart made with build_cart is stored with its items, its note and the assistant that built it, so the link can open it, with no name or email attached. When the link is opened and checked out, we note that the cart came from an assistant, and our privacy policy covers the order like any other.
